Big things have been going on here! Well, with Olivia anyways. Not much is new with Brayden, Jeremy and me. This is a good thing because that means we're settling into a routine. Which is kinda of a silly concept considering any routine can and will inevitably change the second little Olivia snaps her fingers. Hopefully that finger snap means she's ready to come home to our house in San Francisco where she/we will remain for a couple of weeks to make sure she adjusts well to life outside the NICU. There are rumors that the Army will allow Jeremy to go to Davis Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson, AZ (his next duty station) when Olivia is discharged. He will then come to San Fran and get us and move us all down to Tucson as soon as we are given the green light that Olivia can tolerate the move. We are clearly on Olivia's schedule (I'm already getting the sense that she LOVES it that way) and don't want to rush her in any way. She can just take her sweet time growing, as far as we're concerned...
Speaking of growing, back to the big things going on with Olivia: she graduated to regular size preemie diapers! She was originally in preemie, preemie size which are the most adorable but ridiculously tiny things I have ever seen! She now weighs 1330 grams, almost 3 pounds! She also drank a teensy tiny bit out of a bottle nipple! A HUGE feat for a 33 week gestational age preemie. She's filling out and looking more and more like a healthy little chubby baby every day. She is transforming right before our eyes. It is incredible! She is quite possibly the most beautiful thing I have ever seen in my life. Then again, I say that about Brayden and Jeremy too. :)
These photos are so precious! Thank you so much for sharing them and the wonderful news that Ms. Olivia is growing so much. She is a doll and Brayden's smile looking in at her is too sweet for words.
ReplyDeleteMuch love to all of you, Chris
